What I don't like about these anonymous forums (and I have been a member of qurank and rc.com for a few years - my name is Jason, by the way) is that people seem to have forgotten common courtesies and manners. A minority of people type quite inflamatory posts that they would not be willing to say to someone in real life.

I say that if you want to abuse someone, or slander someone, have the courage to say it to that person's face rather than slink around behind a pseudonym posting on the web.

I am sure that if a few of the posts that have been made about others and directly to some others had been said to me personnally, fisticuffs would have ensued.

Climbing is a diverse sport, and everyone is entitled to their opinion. But YOUR opinion is not the only one. Respect someone elses opinion (unless it varies greatly with accepted community norms - ie. chipping, spraypainting rock, etc.). It is how a democratic society operates.
