I don't really have any pearls of wisdom for lunches: sandwiches work fine.
But for really tasty dinners you should invest in a food dehydrator. (Mine is a Fowlers Vacola, from Myers - cost ~$120). When you are cooking your regular dinner at home, make a double batch and stick half in the dehydrator and leave it overnight. The one catch is that if you want meat in your meals, you should use mince. My favourite is green thai chicken curry.
I originally bought it for preparing food for hikes, but the meals are so easy to prepare that I use it for car camping too. |
