Hmmm yeah, my tricams ... ... collect dust ... ... HOWEVER!!! They do get a lot of use when I'm caving. I find that using tricams as an active peice when climbing is dangerous, they tend to wander all over the shop - when under load though they are beautiful devices, and hence I love them for caving (and the occassional belay station). My hassle with tricams is that if you get any rope drag pulling up through your bina, it vibrates and pushes up on the tricam and tricams don't take much movement to come out. I took mine with me to Araps last weekend and used my blue one in a belay station at the top of Ckinell and that was it, other than that they were just sandbags and a waste of space and a usefull bina on my gear sling ...
