>- Buffalo granite is not Yosemite granite - it is very rare that you will be purely >smearing on the harder slabs. More often than not you will be standing on micro->crystals, so make sure the boot rubber isn't too soft.
>- Just as important (or maybe more so) than the right boot is choosing a time when >the slabs are not too hot. Full blast sun in mid-summer makes even moderate slabs >harder than usual and, conversely, cool and/or overcast conditions can >make 'impossible' slabs possible.
