>> Why no burning the tp? This is context dependent. In Australia, burning TP in the bush is a pretty obvious fire hazard. But, I lived in Costa Rica for a year in a somewhat isolated (but not terribly isolated) village, and everyone burned all of their TP. It was just a part of normal life. The sewage treatment systems couldn't handle TP, so you would store the TP in a waste bucket next to the toilet, and every week you would burn the contents. Smelled great!
