I find the easiest way to step up on the slackline is to put the inside part of the leg you are standing on up against the slackline whilst you step up with the other - this takes out the majority of the wobbles.
After a while, you will get used to it and it will become second nature.
Also dont walk sideways, as much as you feel like you want to - as if you fall, you will land on your arse or face.
Try to keep you legs slightly bent, and your weight over your front foot. Clear your mind and dont try and over complicate it. I also find 1 - 2 beers is optimal to getting relaxed enough to slackline well |
