Glacier at the base? It was all scree - the one step up two steps down kind (makes descending a hell of a lot easier though). There was no snow on route and only one small patch of snow on the decent. We expected to be able to French Free the harder bits if need be...we couldnt. The 7a was probably the most scary climbing I have ever done and the bolts were never closer then about three or four metres (that was the good bits!) |
