 My conversion is different, but I think like all approximations only works well for certian grade ranges.
 
 I add 10 the the decimal protion, for grades from 5.4 to 5.9:
 5.4 = 14
 5.5 = 15 etc
 
 Not exact, but given the innacuracy of grading anyway, works well enough for me.
