Below: A map of the area surrounding Mt Hope. Drive to the township of Pyramid Hill, a good hour north of Bendigo. Turn right in town and continue out heading for the obvious rocky "Pyramid" hill park. The climbing at the hill itself is almost not worth mentioning. Instead continue past it 14.4km from town until you strike a left hand turn off, sign posted for Mt Hope. This is a dirt road and not that easy to spot, since Mt Hope itself just looks like yet another dry paddock when approaching from this angle. The climbing, however, is far from disappointing. Take the second left (a rutted little track), for the imposing Suicide Rock. Park at the gate right below the cliff.
