Mt Erica Rocks offer a loose collection of large granite boulders in an alpine setting, many of which are moss free. Obviously this isn't a winter destination. Most of the routes are bolted, so you could probably get away with a sport climbers rack, though there are a few trad cracks to climb. There's lot of friction slabbing to be had, with slopers and sharp edges. However, by and large the routes are not that tall, and most are quite hard to get up. Scenic camp sites abound.

To gain access from Melbourne drive to Moe in the north-east of the state via the Princess Hwy, and take the road to the locality of Erica. About 10kms afterwards, turn left to the signposted Mt Erica, and drive on up. Take the walking track from the car park for about 30 minutes to the boulder field.
