Serpentine 20th Anniversary Weekend
The dates are locked in for the celebration of the year...20 years since Serpentine on Taipan Wall was first climbed..the 23/24th of February, 2008. Location...Camping at Stapylton campground, camping up the back left when you enter the campground. Climbing both days on the legendary Serpentine...BOTH pitches!! The first ascencionist (Malcolm HB Matheson) and his belayer (Steve Monks) will be re-enacting the legendary first ascent. Anyone interested in coming to climb, watch, or see some history repeated is more than welcome. Tell your mates, it'll be tops!! Freedom bus will depart from the Blueys on Thursday night so you'll need to chuck a sickie on Friday 22nd. Returning Sunday arvo. SuckinLara...you said you had some great photo's of the bolting and first ascent..is it possible to e-mail me them?? Anyone else with some early photo's please contact me..cheers!
