That's why I said not much
So in the case of a motorbike, you control your risk by minimising your exposure to cars... which would explain why I'm quite happy to ride a trail-bike

There is also perceived danger vs real danger, and there have been studies that show young people are not good at recognizing consequences of risky activities. I personally think you should feel invincible when you are young.
And yes I know Larry isn't young

Agree that cars are an uncontrollable danger, but gravel patches, oil patches and trees down are too.

There are many more reasons motorbikes are far more unsafe than cars. Other drivers in cars play a large part but certainly not the only reason they are dangerous. The smallest accident on a bike can have very serious consequences for the rider. The most obvious one to me is in the wet, particularly oil patches.
I love riding so much more than driving but I wont be buying a roadbike again for a while I think.
