Wouldn't be surprised :P I saw some funny things when I was over there!

Really? Great climbing on Malta. All limestone except for a small sandstone bouldering area near Ramla bay on Gozo.
Video is at Wied Babu - valley with a mix of sport and trad routes near the Blue Grotto - it's a lead fall on a well protected mixed route - some bolts and gear.
Malta has a mix of trad (much of the earlier development by English climbers enjoying the mild winter climate) and sport. Various inland and sea cliffs to climb on and great DWSing.
I wasn't climbing when I visited there but I might actually get back there on my next trip to Europe since there is climbing. Figure it would be good, but my experience on the rock from around St Peters pool was that the rock was damn sharp.

The limestone can be a bit on the sharp side. Due to not have an updated guide till 2007 (previous guide was an update to the 71 guide in 87) and a little off the usual destination radar, the rock is very unpolished compared to many areas on mainland Europe.
If you do go, I have contacts I can put you in touch with.

I will indeed. I'm definitely going back there, just not sure when. If the climbing is worth it though, it's a draw!
