Woooooooooowwwwwwiee! Those pictures just make me so super keen to get out!
I was in Arches NP in 2007 but didn't realise climbing was allowed there.
I did my first ever bit of crack climbing in Moab back then too...although it could have been ice climbing too as before I tried to jam, I had to scrape the snow out of the crack. My hands were so cold and numb at the top, I had to clip the anchor with the backs both my hands squeezing the rope.
I wanna go back to Utah!

Thanks DaveN for pointing out last week about the Sharp End that was on this evening.
Leo Holding has been dabbling in Base soloing too from memory. Trying to think where this would be possible in Australia. It would need to be overhanging, tall enough with a landing zone.

... that is why that climb had quickdraws hanging off it! Can't get much more obvious than that, unless you are a boulderer?

OK so in a tiny thread hijack / diversion there is a you tube competition to win small pocket sized HD video recorders from JVC - I have entered today and if people could go to the link below sign in with a you tube or Gmail user name and then vote for the Trex Vs Shark video I can win one today. The camera are given away on who has the highes star rating per day. I tried putting a climbing video a couple of days ago up but nobody went for it against all the baby videos on there. So this video is from an event I put on for work.
The cool thing is they are giving these things away every day - so If every one votes for me today and I get today's prize, if some one else wants to put up a video tomorrow or any day until the 24th of December I am sure we can all have little HD cameras and put loads more of our climbing videos into this thread ( back on topic ish)
So here is the link http://www.youtube.com/group/PicsioCompetition#p/r/0/fmTa6bsT5No
And remember sign in go to the Trex vs Shark vid and click the info tab and give it a 5 star rating ! these are what count - the love it hate it votes only count if its a draw.
