well. last week Ben Cossey and me attacked the passport!!! it was a fun day out and we found out that we had been doing to much bouldering. I took short clips of the day unfolding. there are 10 small clips. this is a link to the first one.

anyone who wants the beta on how to free climb the crux pitch should watch clip 7 (i think, not sure but there is full beta). no need to jam!
enjoy

how did we go?? well if you watch the vids you will see.
not so well!!! very funny now. sitting on the computer. feel like the weakest sack of shit. We both got scared!!! hahahah. but hey. it was so fun and we had such a great time we didn't have to do it. and realized that if you just enjoy climbing for climbing rather then think you have to tick tick tick.
so fun.
it's quite funny when you don't do something big for a bit and you just drag your bum along a cave (hollow mountain cave).
we did the moves. well there are only two hardish moves at the start to gain the jug on the left.
well back in tassie now. and am frothing for big shit.
so hopefully in the next weeks i might even have some tyndall vids!!!

I know exactly what you mean mate... Problem with dragging your bum (in the cave) for me anyway is everyhting feels harder than my route projects :)
Will have to watch the vids at home, work dosnt let me get onto youtube :(
Cheers

I only just got around to watching this. Fantastic! I want to see more of this style of 'fly on the wall' video
ascent. So many classic quotes...

An amazing lack of helmets in this video considering the consequences!

Well its only 50-60 minutes on a plane...closer than the gramps!

I fly to the Gramps in the SCV chopper - only 30 minutes.

I knew it! you've been using SCV to launder all the money you've been pulling in on crux - you're busted Mr N.

That's probably the only time the terms "SCV" and "chopper" will in the same sentence.
