I caught a glimpse of a baby milk powder ad on the TV last night which linked a baby climbing to their future self climbing a mountain. If I see it again I'll try and remember the brand and find a clip, unless someone beats me to it.
With OSX 10.10 installed now I have a choice of three Half Dome and one El Cap panorama desktop backgrounds to choose from. This is not helping productivity.
So far I think I've spotted a team on Pacific Ocean Wall, and there is a clusterf--- on Sickle Ledge.
The "call for climbing to be banned" was a single, off the cuff comment on the Wimmera Mail-Times facebook page by some random bogan. So the suggestion that there's been any serious call for a ban on climbing is just a massive, bullshit exaggeration by that paper.
In fact, given that said paper then went and sought comment from the SES on the matter, achieving nothing other than wasting the SES's time, I propose that the Wimmera Mail-Times be banned.

Thanks kman for putting some common sense back into the Cassandra-perspective.
Perspective peeps.
2 climbing deaths now since 2006. What was the local roadtoll for that area in the same period. Not that either is a good thing, as they both have a social cost.
Yeh, an photo 3 0f 3 on the timeline link, looks to be another ripoff of onsight's pic.
What is one sentence that people in your hobby understand, but sounds like gibberish to everyone else? (self.AskReddit)

I can't tell if this is medical, or construction

to use a crack to your advantage you often shove body parts in it
This one speaks to me on a more personal level

I know exactly what you are talking about, but it literally is just gibberish. No one gives real beta like that.
Just watched this episode of Redesign My Brain on I-view.
The blindfolded climbing was a bit silly but some of the mental training was interesting.
Not sure how long this link will work for, ABC now charges for archived material.
Only now watching last nights footage of the Tour de France which finished in Gap.
Nice helicopter flyover along the Ceuse cliff from Cascade all the way along past the Berlin sector, Biographe and Un Pont sur l'Infini with the riders around 34km to go!
