I was in the same house when the '85 fire came through. That one came within 250m of us, this one is somewhat further away. Fire plan has been activated though.
PS Too hot for you and Bourge out there today?

I thought that article was pretty ordinary in that it combined a lot of gossip type opinion with a few facts.
It left me wondering about public perception of climbers and how our image affects our credibility.
My condolences go to the bereaved.

It was front page of the paper, with a photo (of the climber quoted in the article posing in a Hobart alley way with a rope and hexes slung over his shoulder). So yes, quite a lot of negetive exposure for the sport.
