BASE jumper stranded 100m above ground
Emergency services are trying to rescue a BASE jumper who is hanging precariously from a cliff face in south-east Queensland.
The man jumped off the cliff but became entangled 50 metres from the top of a 150-metre cliff at Christmas Creek near Beaudesert, south-west of Brisbane.
Careflight helicopter spokeswoman Carol Haffke says rescue crews will not be able to rescue the man using the helicopter.
"The rotor wash from the helicopter is quite fierce and if he's just hanging on by the chute, as we believe may be the case, although that's not confirmed, then we fear we may dislodge the chute," she said.
"So that's why we're bringing the people to the top of the cliff, I believe from FMR [Federal Mountain Rescue] or SES [State Emergency Services], and they'll then rappel down to get to him."

How's it Hex....yeah, went well! ...spent 10 days in the Vic Alps, b'walking/scrambling and a bit of crazy 4WD-ing (that bit wasn't planned) ;-p ....sussing out the Vic scene for potential winter trips, and saving my hard earned $ and annual leave for extended o/s trips later in 2006, if all goes well :-)

ALL IS NOW REVEALED ABOUT THE HEX !!!

From the Sunday Age TV guide.

"HEX
This British supernatural drama continues to do its best to fill the Buffy-shaped hole in viewers' lives. Today Cassie realises that the demon child she thought she had aborted is actually alive and determined to take revenge (don't you just hate it when that happens)."

IT'S ALL CASSIE'S FAULT !!!

Hex is really an aborted demon child !!!
