Indeed he was. The only time I met Mikl was over 20 years ago when he left his broken down bike in my folks garage at Little River and he returned next day and took it to pieces to get it in the back of his mates car (he managed it in about 25 minutes!) It was partly because of that encounter that I took up climbing.
