I've actually been thinking about trying to build a remote-controlled small hobby helicopter with a camera fixed underneath. Then, in my old age, I'll just be able to pull up to the car park, set it up and buzz on in on the climbers and get really neat perspective's on the action, saving myself a lot of work and soiled undies. If the remote was strong enough maybe would even need to leave the office myself... I do see some problems with idea though. Like if I should loose control and the chopper should give the climbers a bit of a haircut, or crash and burn and do yatesie to their rope...

That Tote perspective was done from stringing a line between the top of the Tote back to the cliff on the mainland. The attachment point on the mainland was about 40 meters from the Tote. Obviously I’m not talking about the normal Tyrolean (this is almost at right angels to that). I then rapped about 15m down the tote and tensioned out on the line with jumars until the line was tight as possible – like a normal Tyrolean. Great birds-eye perspective but was unnerving with the high loads on the anchors. So anyway, at least it's not a creation of Photoshop.

Happy happy hex.

'...Much has happened in the last few weeks at least in the Blue Mountains. Probably the best effort was from Zac Vertrees who produced a new grade 33 (F8C) at Diamond Falls just to the left of Supergoo called Tucker Time (33). Instead of clipping the anchors Zac chose to hang by his toes from the top of the cliff and plummet head first! ... Ben Cossey... at Mt Arapiles... flashed Masada (29)...When it comes to the ladies...'

Make my dinner ! hehehe;-)
