Hi- I just looked at your site and noticed something that might be needing possible ammendment...regarding the garda knot, I was taught this knot by some french alpinists and they warned me never ever to use this with snaplinks but only use it with screwgate carabiners, and that it is best to use 2 carabiners that are exactly the same- I ascended a rope once this way and it was pretty easy though a bit fiddly. hope this helps.
