Personally, I don't give a toss what the HSun reports - but I thought it would've been nice to attribute it to Chockstone at least. What pissed me though was that my comments on NZ conditions were a personal observation of the general conditions of the area and they used it to say it was an almost specific warning on the North Shoulder of Tasman. I've been on the North shoulder of Tasman and anyone else who has would know that it is a knife edge. I've never felt so much exposure as I felt there. Putting such a general comment in such a tragic story is weak journalism. Knowing some of those who died added to my disappointment. They were far more experienced then I am and I would walk proudly in their footsteps before I pretended to know better then them.
I console myself with the thought that these journalists will lead dull, uninteresting lives and will be remembered for nothing.
