there has been a recent decision handed down in the Federal Court in relation to copyright infringement that went the way of the photographer.

If you invest time/money into taking the photo in the first instance then it makes sense to protect it. Perhpas that dosent worry the majority of us who snap a few shots for fun, and maybe we would slightly chuffed if another party though the photo good enough to use of their promo material. and so decide that its not worth the worry to kick up a fuss about the whole issue.

We all have that choice, but i'm sure that if youre making money out of your photos or someone is taking your property without permission you would be pissed!

I note Simon Carters comments on why he dosent publish photos in ROCK....very interesting stuff.

Be nice if people simply asked prior to ripping them off though.
