Do you have other websites open at the same time? The only time my browser freezes (due to the CPU being maxed out) is when I have other websites open that play those dynamic adds (flicking between lots of images - obviously needs a bit of CPU grunt). When I close those sites, the browser unfreezes. (BTW - I am running a tool that graphs the CPU usage)
