Lighter than the guide but not necessarily better.
Its lighter because it has less "height" than the guide - which also means its friction isn't as effective and it doesn't dissipate heat as well. It also results in the rope "sticking" occasionally (not a big issue really).
The fact that the biner hole follows the same allignment as the rope slots (look at your reverso to see what I mean) is also a bit of a draw back because it means that the device has only one friction mode. The guide's biner hole is designed to still allow two friction modes.
The green colour is hot though - goes really nicely with my jeans and cigarette... |
