Prussiks and Cordelletes. What a beautiful thing to talk about. To gain the greatest advantage from your prussicks, they could be tailored to your size, the ropes you use and personal style.Generaly speaking though I use set of 3. 300mm, 1.2m, 1.7m loops. These are 6mm chord. I get these lengths by allowing approx' 500mm extra for the Double-fishermans. So the 300 loop starts as 1.2m length, the 1.2m loop = 3m length, the 1.7= 4m length. Each is a different colour to recognise at a glance. My cordellete starts as being a 7.5m length of 7mm chord with Figure 8s tyed at each end. This allows for a greater range of set ups as can still be used as a loop (by clipping both ends in same 'binner) or used as a long length.
