Hi there....have started looking at buying my first rope (never thought I'd see the day where I get excited over buying a rope!). I have read a few threads from others asking the same question "what to buy for a first rope?". I've noticed that some people have said not to spend too much on your first rope as it will probably get trashed more quickly when starting out. However, I believe in getting what you pay for and buying quality. The two ropes I am looking at are: Beal Topgun 11, 10.7 60mtres....or Stirling Marathon Ultra, 10.7 60mtres. I can get the Beal for around $319 and the Stirling for $359. Any thoughts/suggestions? Cheers Li
