My vote was for Once or Teice Gear or Rock Failed

Have actually had three failures, two have been on RP's one after repeated falls resulting in pulling the wires through the head and a second when the rock around the RP exploded. The only other failure I have had was a cam which was my own stupidity and deperstion in not checking (being able) to check the placement.

Most of the gear failures I have heard about have been as a result of poor placement or blind placements, the prime example being a freind lowering a group off a climb in the Gramps (big cliff) and then abseiling themselves and removing all the pro except for 1 piece (a hex) which they couldn't really see that well. Obvious result here. Big lessons learned.

I have included only gear which has failed after a fall not gear which has lifted during a climb.
