Some idea on a budget could help!

Very basic rack...

Single set of wires (10 sizes)... most brands are fine. Keep it simple - basic Wild Country, Black Diamond

5 cams - finger crack to fist size. Camalots or Wild Country are the better brands. Omega Pacific Link-Cams are even better if you can afford them!

RPs - get a few of the medium/large sized ones.

Quickdraws - you'll need at least 10. If you are starting out get the longer ones you can dismantle easier. Short sport draws are crap for multi-pitch.

Slings - Get 2. Just buy some tape and tie them yourself

Nut tool - get one with two little claws on the back end which help to remove cams!

Hexes - hmmm. I havn't used them for 10 years. Good cheap option, and super bomber but most cams make them redundant. Maybe get a 3 or so on cord (you can use them as extendable sling runners if you run out of real gear!)

Cordellete - great for setting up trad belays!

Screwgates - get 2 or 3. You'll need for belays.

This rack will get you up most shorter trad routes at Arapiles. You'll see climbers lugging up twice this amount - if not more! If you have the money buy more cams,small ones are more useful (wild Country Zeros)
