Actually I'm another fan of Mammut ropes.
The mantles on Mammut ropes are woven tighter than other brands. This means that the rope is more resistant to abrasion, but stiffer than other ropes. The very opposite is Beal - they're soft and supple and easy to knot, but they wear out fast.
I wear my ropes out by abrasion rather than falling and I live on a budget, so abrasion resistance is important to me.
