If you're in Melbourne and are after cross country skis of pretty much any flavour, hard to go past Eastern Mountain Centre (EMC), or Ajay's. They mightn't be able to sort you out with second hand gear, but will give you excellent advice nonetheless. If you're more towards the border then Snowgum in Wodonga is probably a good bet if it's still run by Bob Cranage. Ski.com.au have classifieds which are probably worth a look, and forums for other info...
