I tend to use what eva I deem appropriate at the time. Every situation is different. However I would say that some friends and i did some backyard testing and found that there was a small chance of complete anchor failure if you used the no knot self equalising sling/cordelette method incorporating three anchor points, and failures became more frequent with each additional anchor point incorporated. These were by no means scientifically conducted, but we did discover that you had to twist the sling/cord different ways at each "V" point. Essentially, I now only use the "self equalising no knot" method with 2 anchor points, but am happy to piggy back two or more self equalising systems if applicable.
