Cheers all. Im specifically after something for self belay on 8.5mm. In any case I ’ve borrowed a grigri + from a mate and done a few tests at home and it seems ok on the 8.5mm. As I’m planning on using for self belay i want it to bite not slip. Like I said the lounge room test it seemed ok. I’ll test it out at the he crag soonish and will let y’all know how it goes. Allegedly Petzl are bringing out a normal gri gri that goes to 8.5mm this year.
