I'm confused how you manage to "fked" your rope from washing it. Could you explain more?
Your rope is made out of nylon the same stuff as a bunch of your clothes and it is awfully hardy and resistance to a large variety of chemicals. (stay away from acids)
I've normally just used my washing machine with a bit of plain old soap. For extra paranoia I might run a rinse through beforehand.
For more comprehensive chemical resistance:

So according to that if you wash your rope in gasoline and honey your are all good! :-p |
