It sounds like something might have changed recently at Big Johns - or maybe it's just the post in jobs? Or maybe it's just everyone who knows what to do going on holidays at the same time? When I was living in Sydney I had maybe 8 or 10 resoles through Big John using the local gym dropoff/pickup, and the service was fast and excellent - perhaps 2 weeks at most turnaround. I'm no longer in Sydney and posted a pair off towards the end of last year. It took about 6-8 weeks and multiple phone messages before they got the resoles back to me. Excellent job as always but it was a pain in the arse not have the shoes so I'll also try somewhere else next time...
