I'm feeling the need to punish myself and do something difficult and mindless....which got me thinking about climbing again.
Does the world of chockstone wanna lend me 3 x #6's or bigger until Winter? Promise to scratch the shit out of them and return them in much worse condition than before.
Or alternatively will trade heaps of other gear for #6's or buy if they are cheap...
Help a brother out please folks, :)

What the hell are you contemplating doing? Is it an established route? Or have you discovered some piece of wideness on some obscure granite pox (the sort of stuff ODH likes thrashing into)?

Simey! Yep, obscure granite pox sums it up.....and if I could top rope it I would, :) Loan me a #6 when you're in town next?? And no, apparently no one has ever got up it, and I'll probably join the club, so I wouldn't call it established.

hi Dan, if it's the route I'm thinking of it was done last year. You can borrow my no.6

I'm afraid I don't own any #6 cams otherwise I would gladly lend them to you (providing you post pics of you in action on this mega-route).

Matt Johnstone Climbed it . Gr 24. I don't think he's named it. Didn't really tell anyone either.
I'm keen to play on it again. 1 no.6 and two 5's will get you up it, which I have. Let me know when you want to get on it.

If you need them for Buffalo then more than welcome to borrow mine. I have 2 x 6, 1 x 5.
I live in Porepunkah so you can grab them on the way up the mountain.
keep me posted

Ay shortie, after you finish getting your act together on this new 24, you should go and do Country Road at Buffalo (Australia's 1st Gd 24), to compare and see if the new one really is-
Country Rd also requires some big gear...

The secret cool crack area @ Black Hill. There are 3 of them -
A finger crack going at about 19....
A chimney tapering to tips going at 21 ish I think....great climb in my opinion...
And then the infamous formerly unclimbed overhanging bum crack off width at what Steve is saying 24.....
Come in the back gate the follow the path to where it joins the other path coming in from the left, walk a few hundred meters and then bush bash left until you reach the first climbable rock....you'll find it.

It all honesty M9, it is highly unlikely that I will get up the thing, but I'm the right head space for some punishment at the moment, :)
