Hi Folks, i was wandering if anyone out there had any experience with Mammut climbing shoes. i tried on a pair of mammut extreme the other day and they felt pretty good. you don't see many people wearing them which means either they are not popular or theyare not widely known.

i know that the subject of which shoes to buy is very much a comfort / personal thing / type of climbing thing but i am looking to upgrade my shoes from beginners to the next level and beyond (hopefully) and the help of other more experienced climbers might stop from buying the wrong pair.

should i be sticking to main stream manafactures i.e la sportiva, 510, boral, saltic, mad rock etc etc?

whats the general consenus of mammut shoes? i've read the sales blurb but what are they really like out on the rock face?

any assistance would be greatly welcome.
