I got an ok (but pretty flexy) setup from a removable chin-up bar, some ply, angle brackets and cable ties.

Drill holes just the right size or smaller for the ends of the chinup bar in the ply, then just bash it in. I was using a large hangboard and wanted to mount it high, so was going to torque the board from the top holds, so went to town with the cable ties round some angle brackets, and also against the top of the board to stop it twisting out of the ply. Wish I'd got some gaffer tape or maybe fencing wire in there as well...
You do need a bit of a lip on the door jam to make this type of chin-up bar work though... |
