Many things affect strength loss in knots.
From my testing, I've found fig8 and bowline about the same - something between 55 and 75% of the unknotted rope strength.
In a tug of war between the two on a 25-30yr old piece of 9mm rope, the rope broke in the fig 8 at 1000kg. I think the strength of the rope when new should have been 1800kg. That's 55%.

On a new piece of Sterling 11.1mm htp (which is an ultra low elongation polyester rope rated to 34kN), in separate tests, both broke at about 20kN - or 59%.
