I also wore a hole in the point of the toe of one of my muria's, its a horizontal crack about 3mm long about 2mm above the seam - I've had them a while longer than you but I don't climb that often. I have since noticed I drag my toe along the rock occasionally! My other shoes have always first worn out on the inside of the toe when the two pieces of rubber meet - at the time I felt that the hole had come rather quicker than I was used to.

My murias are quite worn down in this same place where my previous shoes have worn out but not to the point where they are through. I have since bought a new pair of Murias (as I was really happy with the feel and performance) and plan to get these ones resoled.

Let me know if you find out that there is a bad batch, although I doubt it!
