I've used these for several years, on sea cliffs, in the Warrumbungles and in South West Tasmania.
Great little compact radio. Rechargeable with long battery life. Excellent on windy days when communication is impossible. And when you're becoming an old bloke...

I think GME may have stopped making these (??) but I found this site selling them:

(I have no affiliation with these guys by the way).

I've used cheaper but bulkier radios. They're OK but seem to get in the way.
