Had a bad experience with Beal Flyer (not on the rock). Washed one for a friend of mine and when I used a rope-brush under the tap, the sheath started to bunch up after a few meters. I have an Edelrid 9.6 or 9.7mm dry and this never happend with it. Also I love the feel of my rope and weight is good too. Great all-round rope, I use it for trad mainly though.
Just my two bob worth.
