for some details of a series of tests black diamond did on joining slings with girth hitches (nylon and spectra). It seems that BD are against girth hitches for extending runners, although I am not sure that this is what you are using the girth hitch for.
Can you confirm for me how you are using the girth hitch. To me it reads that in '1)' and '2)' you wanted to girth hitch the sling to your harness and clip into the ancors and in '2)' you also wanted to use a sling to girth hitch a tree. |
