I reckon wired hexes might be slightly harder to seat, as the wire spring will move them - unless you have a classic bomber hex placement. They'll also tangle less on your rack. You can place them slighty above your head too - just like nuts on wires.
On a mate's rack, I saw he'd put a dot of araldite on the wire/nut interface so you could manipulate the nut better via the wire. Quite canny |
