or you could send the stuff to a friend living in the US/Canada whatever and get them to send you the gear, just make sure they take the price tags off etc. I brought $1000 worth of cams, nuts, etc when I was in Canada this year and sent them back home and I had no problem getting the stuff though customs....maybe I just got lucky.
