If you can't be bothered watching the video, as mentioned by CHL it recommends that a basket hitch is used to extend the wire. With new, dry gear the basket hitch actually failed at higher loads than the Wallnuts were rated at. The larks foot of two wires (No 1 wallnuts) was actually weaker than using 8 mm Dyneema larks footed to a wallnut (though basket hitching was much superior in all cases.

Note the caveats of the test being dry and new gear with no edge effects. Though Mikl has shown elsewhere that dyneema handles cutting loads quite well.
