Irrespective of this being the case, I was probably having a bad day. As M9 (i can't be arsed confirming that it was he) said shortly after my post, it's the whole "me generation" that I probably had had enough of that day, including at work.
For starters, the question about "what should my first trad rack be?" probably accounts for 33% of the posts on this forum (shortly thereafter by bolting vs not-bolting). I get bugged by it everyday at work. "What do I need to do about x-y-z". Well, if you'd bothered to read the material provided earlier in the week, you'd know, don't waste my time asking me the same question because you think you're special (you probably are, special in that retarded kinda way, I often feel like saying).
The response is generic. I guess it's a little bit like just about everything in life. "Start with the "average" of everything you need and you'll be fine, specificity can come when you're better at it."
As Neil said, sure, places like indian creek may well need 8 #3 cams to climb supercrack, but that's the excpetion, not the rule.
Anyway, it's not you, it's just that you copped it from me :-)
Enjoy your average rack! (they call me belligerent for a reason ;-) all i'm missing now is the old, old age) |
