I second Mike Bee's contribution, sounds like the best advice I've read here. GTX don't hardly breath at all if the outer fabric is soaked and evaporative heat loss from wet-out areas causes chilling of the surface fabric which in turn promote internal condensation. Liquid moisture can be passed out of high quality PU membrane garments but not GTX(or Event). Maintaining the water repellancy is the best way to make GTX perform as intended. On the other hand if its been thru some spiky scrub then you could have many micro-punctures which may or may not scrape thru a warranty process. |
