i once had to buy a g-string (for reasons that shall remain unknown. me and a girl friend were looking thru the packets for one that suited and two girls in school uniform walked past. they gave us strange looks so i felt i had to reassure them 'don't worry its for me'. needless to say they left in a hurry.
the moral: don't be ashamed, stand up for your right to buy womens undergarments men. Viva la revolution!
