How does the monster munter go when rappelling on double ropes though? With cross crabs the path of the rope is kept straight and you can increase friction by adding another karabiner. Cross crabs is also usefual for adding friction to an already existing system i.e. switching from reghular abseil to rescue abseil. The problem with cross crabs is that the way it handles is determined by the karabiners you use so can be variable. |
